Veronica Leano, MD

While in school in Mexico, I was assigned to the Community Program which encompassed several specialties. Many families were placed in my care. The vision of the program was to treat the whole person, mind, body and soul. I enjoyed the broad sense of experience I gained working with these families, but ultimately decided to complete a Dermatology residency because I felt this specialty was needed in Mexico.

I came to the United States after meeting my future husband, who is also physician from this country. I chose to enter family medicine. I like the spectrum of services I provide in primary care on a daily basis including well-woman checks, pap smears, physicals, sick visits, management of hypertension, diabetes, cardiac conditions and more.

However, I still have a passion for dermatology and dermatologic surgery. In my office I can treat skin tags, epidermal cysts, moles, warts, ingrown nails, acne and genital dermatology. I am here for my patients for all of these conditions and strive to provide comfortable and comprehensive care.

To me, being a doctor is service to my patients and community. Every patient has their own beliefs, so I feel it is important to listen and create a treatment plan the patient feels good about and will follow. I research the best options available for my patients and include them as much as possible in the decision-making process.
