Shawn Lazoff, DO

Shawn Lazoff, DO, joined the family medicine team at Lutheran Health Physicians in January 2016, when he assumed the practice of retiring LHP physician Joseph Muhler, MD. Dr. Lazoff, a Fort Wayne native, graduated with honors from Central Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in biology in 2006. He earned a medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2011, and he will complete a family medicine residency at Allegiance Health in Jackson, Michigan, in December. Away from the hospital, Dr. Lazoff, who is an Eagle Scout, is involved in mission outreach. He has served on a medical mission team that performed exams, assisted with surgical procedures and distributed medicine in Peru in 2009, and he was a participant in the Hands-on Outreach Program that provided Hurricane Katrina relief in Alabama in 2008. Dr. Lazoff has also raised funds to help send children to The Hole in the Wall Gang Camp, a camp for terminally ill children founded by actor Paul Newman in 1986. Dr. Lazoff is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and the American Osteopathic Association.
