Growing up surrounded by family members who were physicians, Dr Sehgal went on to graduate from the M.G.M. Medical College in Indore, India and followed that with a residency in internal medicine at Michael Reese Hospital and Medical Center in Chicago. “Internal medicine gives me the opportunity to interact one-on-one with my patients,” she said. “I honestly feel as if I’m making a difference in people’s lives.” A hospitalist in Chicago before moving her practice to the region in 2005, Dr. Sehgal says she provides comprehensive healthcare. “I am particularly interested in women’s health issues, conditions of the endocrine system and rheumatology. I love everything about my job!”
