Michael Volpe, MD, a board-certified family medicine physician, joined Bluffton Medical Group in January 2015 when his former group, Caylor-Nickel Clinic, joined BMG. He joined Caylor-Nickel in 2008. Prior to that, he worked at Jay County Hospital, Fayette Memorial Hospital, Doctor's Immediate Med-Center, Health South Medical Center and for U.S. HealthWorks Medical Group.

Dr. Volpe earned a medical degree from the University of Rome in Rome, Italy, in 1984. He completed an internship at Morristown Memorial Hospital/Department of Surgery in Morristown, N.J., and he completed a family medicine residency at Ball Memorial Hospital, in Muncie, Ind., in 1989. Dr. Volpe, who was born in Passaic, N.J., has a special interest in urgent care medicine.
