As a nurse for more than 30 years, I have worked in a variety of patient care settings—everything from clinics to heart transplant units. I spent some time as a nurse administrator but realized I missed directly being able to make an impact on patients' lives. In returning to clinical care as a nurse practitioner, I have found the satisfaction that had eluded me in some of my earlier roles.

I enjoy working in family practice because every patient is unique and I approach each person with an individualized plan of care. I enjoy spending time getting to know my patients and try to focus care on the entire patient and their well-being, going beyond just treating a single issue or complaint. I believe that medicine is like a puzzle and the best way to diagnose illnesses and issues is to listen closely to my patients and their concerns.

I provide general and preventative care for patients over the age of 12 and have a special interest in caring for patients with cardiovascular disease. In my spare time, I am a struggling golfer, enjoy needlepoint, and serve as the unofficial event organizer for my large extended family.
