In practice since 1986, Dr. Ostrowski served a one-year residency in internal medicine in Evanston before completing a family practice residency at Methodist Hospitals in Gary. “Family medicine appealed to me over other specialties because it encompasses medical care for newborns through geriatrics.” Board certified in Family Medicine, and a Fellow in the American Academy of Family Physicians, Dr. Ostrowski explained that having experience in all aspects of medical specialties allows for a more thorough evaluation and treatment of individuals and families. Finally, it allows for treating patients’ physical ailments and emotional conditions.
