Kristin graduated Magna Cum Laude from Alcorn State University, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in nursing in 2003. In 2015, she earned her Master of Science in nursing from Alcorn State University, graduating with Honors of Highest Distinction and as a member of Sigma Theta Tau, the International Honor Society of Nursing.

Kristin has family nurse practitioner certification through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and the Mississippi State Board of Nursing Registered Nurse Licensure. She is basic life support certified and has experience in both the clinic and hospital setting as a nurse practitioner.
