Dr. Cathey has worked at Family Christian Health Center, Lawndale Christian Health Center, Northwestern Memorial Hospital and Governor State University in Illinois. She is passionate about developing and implementing educational programs for patients, families, community and staff. Dr. Cathey’s professional organizations include the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, Christian Community Health Fellowship, Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Illinois Nurses’ Association and Affirmative Action Committee at Rush University. Her special interests are in adolescent health and OB/GYN. In fact, her doctorate project is titled “Introduction of a Clinical Guideline in the Assessment and Counseling of Adolescents’ At-risk Sexual Behaviors.”
