A Fort Wayne native, Dr. Girod joined Lutheran Health Physicians in August 2010 when her former group, Brooklyn Medical Associates joined LHP. Dr. Girod, a primary care physician, joined BMA in 2005.

Dr. Girod earned a bachelor's degree from Butler University in 1997 and completed some postgraduate studies at Indiana University-Purdue University Fort Wayne in 1998. She earned a medical degree from the Indiana University School of Medicine in Indianapolis in 2002, and she completed a residency in family medicine at the Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in 2005.

Dr. Girod is board certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Indiana State Medical Association and the Fort Wayne Medical Society.
