After spending 20 years as a nurse, I decided I wanted to be able to do more. I loved caring for patients when they were sick, but becoming a nurse practitioner enabled me to create a treatment plan to help them get well and stay healthy. In my practice, I see a broad range of patients, from babies to older adults. I try to provide a holistic approach to patient care, focusing on the whole person, not just a single issue or illness. I see many patients from the same family and enjoy learning about their family dynamics and seeing them grow and change over many years. I manage all chronic diseases, perform well-women exams, and do many procedures in my office. Patients tell me they appreciate my ability to explain medical terms in a way they can understand. They also tell me I am a good listener, and I always try to ask the patient what they think is wrong and how we can work together to find a plan to fix their problem. Outside of work, my wife and I enjoy staying active, hiking, and spending time on the beach in Mexico. John Modrzejewski is a member of the allied health medical staff at Northwest Medical Center..
