G. Steven Kalesperis

Primary care physician Steven Kalesperis, DO, joined Lutheran Health Physicians in 2019. He has more than 30 years of experience providing preventive and chronic care for men, women and adolescent teens as well as geriatric rehabilitative care.

Dr. Kalesperis earned his master's degree from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois, with a concentration on microbiology and epidemiology, before garnering a doctorate of osteopathic medicine from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also holds a law degree from John Marshall Law School in Chicago.

Dr. Kalesperis began his career managing acute medical/surgical and ICU/ACU patient needs in the Chicagoland area. During his career, Dr. Kalesperis also served a two-year stint as a flight surgeon with the United States Navy where he obtained the rank of Lieutenant Commander. Dr. Kalesperis has most recently served as medical director with the Veterans Affairs Health Care centers in El Paso, Dallas and Houston, Texas.

Board certified in family medicine and osteopathic manipulative treatment by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, Dr. Kalesperis is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Rehabilitative Medicine, the American Osteopathic College of Family Practice and the American Osteopathic College of Occupational & Preventative Medicine.
