David Furman, DO

David Furman, DO, is a primary care physician who cares for men, women and children of all ages. Dr. Furman provides multiple services including preventative and chronic care. He also treats various acute illnesses.

A Fort Wayne native, Dr. Furman received a bachelor's degree in biology at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, before completing a master's degree in physiology from Ball State University in Muncie. He earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine from Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Spartanburg, South Carolina, in 2016. He completed a family medicine residency with Fort Wayne Medical Education Program in June 2019.

Prior to medical school, Dr. Furman worked as an EMT for Putnam County Operation Life. He also served as a pharmacy technician and taught as an adjunct professor of anatomy and physiology at Ball State University and Ivy Tech Community College.

Dr. Furman has completed medical mission trips to Honduras and El Salvador. He has won several research grants and has worked on multiple research publications. Dr. Furman earned Eagle Scout in 2000.
